BLACK & WHITE MINI LOP RABBIT FOR ADOPTION

Black & White Mini Lop available for adoption to good home where he will be part of a loving family.

He was named BAMBAM by Lou who found him on the street outside Ballina Post Office scared, hungry, thirsty & lonely.

Lou was just visiting Ballina but lives on the Gold Coast in QLD so by taking him home she faced the dilemma that owning a pet rabbit in QLD is illegal due to antiquated and unreasonable laws.

This gorgeous young boy Mini Lop rabbit will be available after he's Desexed & vaccinated.

If you are interested ph/text Kim on 0416062947  His adoption fee is $50 and we can deliver to most places.

RABBIT TEETH

RABBIT CHEW TOYS

Rabbits need to chew on hard things to   to keep their teeth trimmed because they grow too long otherwise. In nature rabbits chew tree branches and tree roots.

Give them fresh Gum Tree branches with leaves to chew and they will crunch on leaves when dry. Keeps teeth trimmed & the eucalyptus tree oil keeps coat shiny & helps keep bunny free of internal & external parasites. Bunnies munch these daily at The Rabbit Sanctuary.

Rabbit chewing can become a problem.
If not provided with chew toys rpabbits can begin chewing their hutch or floor skirting boards or furniture.

Overgrown rabbit teeth can be clipped by a vet.

New Rabbit Hutch for Rabbit Sanctuary Bunnies

You might remember THUMPER & CHA-CHING who were seized by the Qld Government from a rabbit rescuer's home in Brisbane. They were rescued from certain death by Logan Council & the Morton Rabbit Board by The Rabbit Sanctuary and today they had a visit from Melanie who originally rescued them. She kindly brought them a new hutch for their large playpen. 6 photos showing Melanie sifting their sandpit and the new hutch she brought them as a gift for their super big playpen on the lawns of The Rabbit Sanctuary.

DAISY BUNNY IN HER NEW HOME

DAISY BUNNY - A word from her new bunny mum

Carmen from Newcastle adopted DAISY and shares how she is settling in and tells us how successful the adoption is.

Carmen says, "A little bit of bunny love. Daisy loves the kids too....already going to my oldest for pats (who has falen completely in love with her, despite being the least loving towards our other pets out of everyone in the housr. She has declared Daisy/Holly as hers)."

Thank you Carmen. Our rescue rabbits get the best of homes.

Big Rabbit Rescue from Qld Research Facility

The Rabbit Sanctuary has rescued 7 New Zealand Giant Rabbits from a research facility in Queensland. They were very lucky bunnies as normally rabbits are put down after their use for research.

Remember to Google Plus this article to help us rehome them. The g+ icon is a red one below the article.

In this case the researcher grew to love them and planned to ask if he could Rehome them at the end. When the research was finished he went for a ride on his motorbike to relax and was tragically killed by a hit and run driver.

His research partner requested that the research facility grant them a pardon and they were allowed to live. Here are photos of them on arrival at The Rabbit Sanctuary.

This was the first time in their entire lives that they were not in a laboratory cage.

Just delivered by the pet taxi with excited visitors to The Rabbit Sanctuary watching the moment that these rabbits see a life of freedom outside a laboratory cage.

🌻Rabbits in Queensland

Pet rabbits are being abandoned by owners that are scared of the laws making keeping pet rabbits illegal in Qld. The laws are very old and should be changed as Queenslanders want the joy if owning a pet rabbit just like Australians in other states.

Rabbit Adoption Dorrigo

Two rescue rabbits adopted to Elle from Dorrigo.  It is great to see how the rabbits we rescue travel far and wide to many places along the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. They go to Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Orange, Wagga Wagga, Armidale, and other places and now Dorrigo NSW.
