Rabbit Health - Rabbit Droppings

Rabbit Droppings

Your rabbit's droppings or poop is a good indicator when it comes to knowing if your bunny is healthy and feeling well.

The rabbit poop should be large and not too dry nor too moist.

If the poop is tiny and dry it means there might be a blockage or that your rabbit is not getting enough fibre e.g. hay.

If your rabbit's poos are kind of strung together with hairs it probably means that your bunny is ingesting hair. This means that you should clean all hair out of his or her housing areas and brush to remove the excess fur.

If the rabbit droppings are too sloppy then cut back on vegetables and ensure a good diet of high quality rabbit pellets and premium grade hay.

Rabbit Cecal Pellets

Everyday your bunny will do a special poop which is something he or she eats like a cow chews her cud. It is not really poo but instead is a bundle of nutrients that needs to be eaten to gain the necessary vitamins and minerals for the day.

Rabbits for Adoption

Just arrived and looking for a loving home, LIL BUN & PIXIE shown here in the travel cage they came in. Lovely gentle friendly bunnies would make great pets. They lived as house rabbits in Queensland but their owner got a new Neighbour who she thought might dob her in to the government so for their safety she surrendered them to The Rabbit Sanctuary.

We can recommend this pair as very good pet bunnies.

Rabbit Adoption

Thank you for considering adoption. Every rabbit adopted makes a space for us to rescue another abandoned rabbit.

Adopt a Rabbit from our available rabbits gallery.

Most of our rabbits are young because most rabbits are abandoned before their first year. This happens due to impulse buying of tiny baby rabbits in pet shops. Rabbits make wonderful house pets if care is taken to understand their needs and behaviours.

We love to assist with that and provide ongoing support. Our bunnies come to you Desexed and vaccinated. We can deliver to most places. If you live near us or are passing through we welcome you to book a visit.

Black Rabbit for Sale

BINDI is available for adoption to good home. She is a jet black girl rabbit. She is (like all Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary rabbits, Desexed, vaccinated etc). See Prices on our Available Rabbits page.

This gorgeous black lop rabbit girl loves pats and enjoys chatting with you over a cuppa. She is currently at The Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary near Grafton NSW and looking for a loving home. She would be a good friend for your desexed boy pet rabbit or you can adopt her with a desexed male rabbit friend of your choice. Bunnies love to cuddle with a friend when you are not around and at night. They hate being all alone for any time.
