These gorgeous bunnies have been waiting over a year for a forever home. They have been overlooked due to no fault of their own! 

They are all such incredible bunnies who would make addition to your family. In the coming weeks we will be doing spotlight profiles on each of these bunnies, providing more photos and giving you more of an insight into their personalities!

You may notice most of these bunnies are REWs (Ruby Eyed Whites). REWs are known for being friendly and inquisitive bunnies, but many people overlook them only because of their eye colour. If you give them a chance, we promise you will absolutely fall in lovely with them and their darling personalities 🐰💕

Bunny Runner Needed in Melbourne for Vet Visits

The Rabbit Sanctuary desperately need a volunteer to transport rabbits from their care locations to our vet in Cragieburn in Melbourne. This can involve driving up to 3 hours so would suit a person who likes driving and doesn’t work or perhaps a sales rep who could include bunny pickups and vet visits during their normal working days.

ADOPT A RESCUE RABBIT

Another busy week coming up with projects at The Rabbit Sanctuary which is being inundated with calls and texts for abandoned rabbits. 

This is a time of year when people move house, change lifestyle, break up with partners, go overseas etc. The bunnies are a casualty of these situations sadly.

Cuddle bunny Charlottes Willow

Cuddle bunny Charlotte's Willow is a one in a million pet rabbit who LOVES to be cuddled. Most don't:(

She is just the best pet rabbit who loves being with people and snuggles and cuddles as you see in the photo.

She comes to the new owner with all vet work done like all our rescue rabbits do. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchiped, vet checked, teeth checked, parasite treated. Oh and did we mention cuddly?

Adopt a Rescue Rabbit

Poor ALICE was born in a steel cage in a research laboratory factory and sold to a research laboratory and experimented on. She has undergone rehabilitation and will repay her new owner with her loyalty and love of life. Please consider her as a house bunny.

We thought we would let you know how busy our facebook page has been lately. We had a very big rescue out of Queensland and managed to save a little family of mini lop rabbits from being destroyed by the Queensland Government.  We thank the Govt for working in with us and the RSPCA to save their little lives.  Have a little look over at The Rabbit Sanctuary Facebook page as there are lots of news items and photos of our bunnies and of The Rabbit Sanctuary too.

Adding a New Rabbit Run Today

Our "Rabbit Roustabout" Evan is building a new Rabbit Run off the lower end of the Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary today.  It will be post and wire and have a 3x3 shelter with iron roof and 3 iron sheeting sides with shelf and ramp. The floor of the shelter is cement and the run will be out on a grassed area. The shelter has wire on front and a 3x3 awning out from the shelter.

This new shelter and Rabbit Run will be great for new arrivals and SAMMY can go in first when she returns from the vet today.  SAMMY is a chocolate and white LOP.  She recently came up from Sydney to reside in the Australian Bush with the other rescue rabbits here at the Rabbit Sanctuary.

Rabbit Adoptions

Our rabbit adoptions are regular this month.
