HARES IN NSW

You can listen to a short ABC radio segment on Hares and Rabbits in NSW. Behaviours of hares are compared to habits of rabbits for example hares live above ground and hide from predators whereas rabbits live underground and run into their burrows when predators approach. The hare runs faster than the leopard at around 72kph.  The top speed of a fox is identical. The greyhound is faster than a hare:(

Hares will die if you try to keep them in captivity except if they are born in captivity.

Very interesting radio segment for those who are interested in hares and rabbits.
